Nestled on 50 private acres, Amamoor Lodge B&B offers the ideal adult rural retreat for total relaxation. Use its spacious lounge to take a break with the warm comfort of an old fashion country wood fire or venture out onto the surrounding verandahs to enjoy the mountainous views as far as the eye can see. Amamoor Lodge is situated uniquely with an abundance of wildlife including wallabies, koalas, echidnas, possums and many varieties of beautiful native bird life. Enjoy a swim in the lagoon style pool or take in the mountain view from the heated spa. Reminisce in the rustic memorabilia shed where relics from yesteryear abound, or sit around the camp fire sipping on a cool drink or billy tea.

Take a nature walk through the unspoiled rainforest to the nearby waterhole where the true nature of Australia can be seen and experienced right at your doorstep. For the serious bushwalkers, Amama and Cedar Grove State Forest Parks are just a short drive away. See the platypus at play at Amama and the large Red Cedar trees at Cedar Grove.

Meet Bundy and Angel, the Clydesdale horses and have a ride in our Cobb & Co coach or restored 1880 sulky or take the time to experience a ride on the Mary Valley Rattler steam train which runs from Amamoor to Gympie and Amamoor to Imbil.

Travel Directions

Follow Bruce Highway and turn off at Amamoor turnoff (which is 18 klms south of Gympie and 150 kms north of Brisbane)

Follow the Amamoor signs until you come to the Y intersection, where you take the left fork into Kandanga Amamoor Road. Amamoor Lodge is 1km along on the left hand side of the road. (Just follow the signs!)

Things To Do

Visit the local markets to take in the Valleys craft and produce. Spend a day in the historic town of Gympie at the Mining Museum or the Woodworks Museum. Enjoy a guided walk in Gympie to view the historic buildings.
